Global Change magazine (and newsletter archive)
IGBP's magazine highlights the high-quality research arising from its core projects and projects that it co-sponsors. By including articles that draw linkages between science, society and policy, the magazine aspires to serve as a source of information not only to scientists, but also to funding agencies, policymakers, journalists and the general public. Published quarterly since 1989 (formerly known as the IGBP Newsletter), the magazine is available free-of-charge from the IGBP Secretariat. To subscribe, contact Charlotte Wilson Boss.
Global Change magazine (74; December 2009)
This is the inaugural issue of the Global Change magazine, which takes over from IGBP's newsletter. The issue -- timed to coincide with the Copenhagen climate talks -- focuses on recent carbon-cycle research. Articles span a wide range of topics, including planetary boundaries, the global carbon budget and China's urban emissions.

Newsletter No. 73 - May 2009
The Ocean in a Changing World: The role of the ocean in regulating climate change is now recognised as being critical. But there are consequences for marine ecosystems and human livelihoods. This issue of the IGBP NewsLetter allows readers to wet their feet and sample marine results from across IGBP core projects.

Newsletter No. 71 - May 2008
IGBP’s special Congress issue of its Global Change NewsLetter adopted the Congress theme “Sustainable Livelihoods in a Changing Earth System”, with a particular focus on Global Environmental Change and the developing world. As a further outreach tool for the general public and policy makers, a factsheet on global environmental change in Africa was produced and included in the newsletter.

Newsletter No. 70 - December 2007
Biofuels, nitrogen, earth system governance, and the effects of global change on Egypt are the main topics of IGBP’s December 2007 Global Change NewsLetter. In the cover story, Weber A. N. do Amaral and Catarina Pezzo of the Brazilian Center for Biofuels, University of Sao Paulo – Brazil, call for a consistent scientific framework to inform policies that maximise the positive potential of biofuels and minimise their negative impacts.

Newsletter No. 68 - February 2007
Highlights include a science feature on satellite surveys of global ocean productivity and an integration article on the use of high-resolution past climate records for future predictions in the Australasian region. The Newsletter survey results, presented in the centrefold, indicate that almost half of the respondents would prefer the Newsletter in electronic version only.

Newsletter No. 67 - December 2006
This issue of the Newsletter is focused on the Earth System Science Partnership Open Science Conference which was held in Beijing on 9-12 November 2006 and attracted more than 900 scientists from the IGBP, WCRP, IHDP and DIVERSITAS communities.
